Details: ‘Spring into Summer’ mixes beautiful pop and electronica bands, chilled party music, with mini fashion catwalk shows. The fashion is chosen for fresh new inspiring fashion ideas from here in Sunny Brisvegas. The musicians and DJs are chosen for beautiful uplifting and fun music.
Spring into Summer features designs from Athan-Jon (Jonathan Pampling) who has styled and dressed the likes of Katie Noonan and Miranda Kerr, was recently involved in fashion for Miss Earth Australia and sells his unique designs at Principessa. It also features emerging fashion designer Gemma Millington with her ‘Mariposa’ label of flattering and feminine dresses, who has had several successful stores at the Young Designers Markets and whose reputation is rapidly spreading by word of mouth.
As an exciting additional element, Athan-Jon will be collaborating with local artist Anthony Jigalin to mix exciting fashion with cutting edge art. You will have to come along to see this!
Providing georgeous tunes for the night are local pop songstress Madeleine Paige and talented singer songwriter Liam Griffin as well as exciting electronica duo Dizzygotheca.
To ensure everyone has the best party possible, local DJs Jane Doe and Anna Sonnenburg will be spinning the turntables with a range of stylish indie tunes followed by some sweet jackin’ house.
Event organizer Heidi Milington says ‘I am really excited about bringing this event together. My sister Gemma launched her Mariposa fashion label this year with events at the Young Designers Markets, and I am so proud of her beautiful dresses that I wanted to put on an event that would suit as a launch party’
“I have been so thrilled by the response from the local musicians, fashion designers, artists and DJs asked to be involved. We have the amazing Jonathan Pampling who’s label ‘Athan-Jon’ has dressed the likes of Katie Noonan, Tori Amos and The Butterfly Effect’. We’ve got some of Brisbane’s best DJs in a range of styles as well as well known locals Liam Griffin, Madeleine Paige and my own duo, Dizzygotheca. Everyone is chipping in and helping to make this a really fun event. Barsoma is such a relaxing and elegant space for a fashion show and a party!”
An event that aims to be an access point to:

As a Tigers and Emperors Production, environmental sustainability is lightly but intrinsically incorporated through carbon offsetting. This event will be carbon offset and people coming are encouraged to go via public transport or car pool.
